Eggmobile Sonic X

The Egg Mobile (エッグモービル eggumōbiru?) is a vehicle that appears in the anime series Sonic X and its comic series published by Archie Comics. It is a one-seat, multi-purpose hovercraft used by Dr. Eggman as his personal transportation and attack vehicle. The Egg Mobile is fitted with a wide array of weapons and serves as well as the cockpit for larger machines and an escape pod when they are defeated by Sonic the Hedgehog and/or his allies.

Description Edit[]

Appearance Edit[]

The Egg Mobile is shaped like a grey hemisphere with a single pale red seat and an control panel on the front of the inside. It has red fins on both sides and the rear and a thin red spike with a yellow marble protruding from a hole on the bottom, possibly to maintain flight as there are no thrusters. On the front is a green lens with a red cap and two rows consisting of three yellow stubby laser guns, and on the lower sides are dark grey sections and yellow and black hazard stripes.

Features and abilities Edit[]

As mentioned earlier, the Eggmobile is able to hover in the air and can move at speeds matching even the fastest of Dr. Eggman's robots with great maneuverability. It has a highly modular design, being equipped everywhere with a wide array of weapon and gadget attachments, including missiles, laser cannons and mechanical hands for grabbing objects.[1] These armaments alone make the Egg Mobile a highly powerful vehicle, capable of taking out entire robot patrols and match the X Tornado in firepower.

The Eggmobile can also act as a command module for Eggman's larger machines, such as E-18 Guerra-Hard. When these creations are inevitably defeated, the Egg Mobile then serves as an escape pod, allowing the pilot to eject mostly unharmed from the larger machine.

Specification Edit[]

  • Length: 2.8 m[1]
  • Width: 2.8 m[1]
  • Height: 2.8 m[1]
  • Weight: 5.6 t[1]

Trivia Edit[]

  • In the Sonic X Trading Card Game, the Egg Mobile appears in a collectible card set. It is incorrectly referred to as the "Egg Hornet".
  • When forming the Egg Hornet in "A Chaotic Day" and the Egg Mobile, the Egg Mobile lost its wings and bottom spike. When the Egg Hornet was destroyed and the smoke dissipated, the Egg Mobile looks like its regular appearance again. This suggest the spike on the bottom is either retractable or the shell of the Egg Hornet was bigger than the Egg Mobile, since the spike and the surrounding hole disappeared during the fight.
